Dr. Wario Sake is the Livestock Director for MashinaniWORKS. He is a qualified, registered veterinary Surgeon with tremendous potential and passion for community development. Despite being a youth, he has highly developed leadership and organizational skills. He has rich technical experience, having worked and assisted in several research works in the field.
He also has enriched administrative skills having worked as Regional Technical Supervisor in Social Enterprise Organisation, Sidai Africa Ltd for over five years and as County Chief Officer for over four years. He has exhibited an outstanding performance in both Sidai and County Government, winning awards for exceptional performance in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
While working for Sidai Africa Ltd as Regional Technical Supervisor, he established Private Veterinary Service in northern Kenya (Isiolo, Garissa, Wajir, and Marsabit) through Sidai Managed Franchise Model.
Among the outstanding achievements under his administration of the County Department are: Development of the Marsabit County Livestock policy, the Marsabit County Livestock Trade and Market Bill, 2018, the Draft Marsabit County Range Management policy, the establishment of Marsabit County Livestock Stakeholders’ Forum. His mobilization and coordination skills are highly appreciated and praised by partners.
He is a skillful, passionate public speaker whose skills have been very useful in his engagement with the community and staff, enhancing his role as team leader.
